What to look for

  • • Pedestrians approaching or stepping into the road
  • • Cyclists pulling out or wobbling
  • • Vehicles emerging from side roads or driveways
  • • Children near the road
  • • Parked vehicles that might pull out
  • • Animals near the road

Scoring tips

  • • Click as soon as you see the hazard developing
  • • Earlier clicks score more points (up to 5)
  • • Never click in a pattern — automatic zero
  • • Practise with official DVSA clips
  • • Watch real driving footage on YouTube
  • • Both parts must be passed in the same sitting
