How to Choose a Driving School in Prestonpans
Not all driving schools are equal. Here are the six things every learner in Prestonpans should check before committing to a school.
DVSA Accreditation
Every instructor at a reputable driving school must hold a current DVSA ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) registration. Always verify this before booking.
Pass Rate Transparency
Ask any driving school in Prestonpans for their first-time pass rate. Reputable schools are proud to share this. National average is around 47% — look for schools above this.
Instructor Matching
The best schools match you to an instructor based on your location, availability, and learning style — not just whoever is free next.
Clear Pricing
Avoid schools with hidden fees, mandatory block bookings, or unclear cancellation policies. Reliant offers transparent pricing with no lock-in.
Lesson Quality
Look for schools that use structured lesson plans, provide progress feedback, and adapt their teaching to your individual needs.
Local Knowledge
An instructor who knows the roads and test routes in Prestonpans gives you a significant advantage on test day.
